I have to confess. The past year, i have been grabbing sweats at Walmart to cover my body. Having extra weight and not loving your body can be very frustrating. Everything i have been wearing has been work out clothes...all my hubby large T-shirts (all stained and crappy by now). I would go to the store and see a cute chubby girl with cute clothes and think..."Why can't you do that? She looks cute! What is your problem?".
I have been waiting to fit my clothes again. Well, it is not happening yet.
I am going to shop for my body so i feel good about myself.
You know what i hate? All the clothes i bought because they were cute and would fit me later with 10 less pounds on my stomach. Not again! Crap!
I just started then, new me, with cute clothes. Working on the Kate Spade look...Will show pictures of my inspired looks later.

Depression diet
When someone exercises enough, they are not depressed. So our body tells us how much we need to have a balance...conveniently it make us burn calories.
Let's face it...now with our economy, everybody loosing jobs, houses, sanity. We need to listen to our body. Eating does not help with depression. Exercising does. This is the natural way for us to "run away" from our problems.

I like it a lot

Here is the new Kate Spade fashion for Fall....I love it...not everything..i don't like the zebra coat and blue tights.
I also like skirts to be to the knee.
So here what i did...i printed the 2 pages and will take it with me in my purse when i go to the store. If i see something look a like, i will try it and buy it.
Yeah...No way i will spend 200 bucks for a shirt....Unless I am on What not to wear and have 5000 bucks free, LOL.

When i was a kid i used to play with those sailing boats on the fountain. I would push them with a long stick across the water to the other side. So fun.

Water please
I was looking at Beautiful Jasmine's blog. She says that she has been drinking a lot, to help her loose weight. I have to applaud her, because if you don't know it, we are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day...just pure water.....very hard for me..i just grew up with a bad habit of not drinking.
We are made of 90 percent water, i think...i can't imagine how much it screws up our body if we don't drink enough....Have you seen that Sponge Bob one, where he is in that air bubble with Sandy and he is drying up?

Working out?
Already then...Hubby has been asking me a lot "Do you want to work out now?" We do have a tread mill downstairs with a TV that i only used once...
So here, my resolution. 30 minutes a day starting tomorrow. I do better exercising in the evening so i will ask my oldest or hubby to watch the tiny monster and keep her away from my makeup and kitchen knives...
I did gain some weight last month...those last 5 pounds...Argh!
Like we say in French "Il faut souffrir pour etre belle" "you have to suffer to be beautiful".
EUH ...Yeah, hubby final lost weight on vegetarian diet....20 pounds...U rock love!.

Warning
Now, i have to tell you...an healthy weight loss is not a fast weight loss. I see so many advertising for fast weight lost. I have to say, it is a recipe for heart attacks and a lot of health problems.
A year ago, when i was contemplating having another baby, i got really scared. What if gaining and loosing all that weight is going to totally destroy my body?
I asked my Doctor and he said. If you loose the pounds the healthy way without starving yourself taking your time...Your body is doing great.
I feel better.
Because you know when you are married, you never know. 50 percents of pregnancies in The USA are not planned. I was an accident baby, but in France. LOL.

Exercising
This is a big thing missing in my life....exercising. I really need to do something about it and stick to 3 days a week. I should run or something. Here, when you have small kids. You don't usually give yourself some time for yourself. When they are older and at school it will be a different story. Now, i need to take care of my body now.

The no meat diet is really cool. Hubby lost 16 pounds!! Yes! I guess, he was eating too much meat everyday for his business lunches....I think he was pigging out. LOL.
I did not loose any pounds but really enjoyed eating more fish. The difference with my husband and i also....he doesn't eat treats or sugar..not his favorite. I really did not cut down on sugar.
A tummy flu did not even help me loose pounds...so ..Oh well. With weight loss, you have to be patient.
The last 5 pounds are, i think the hardest to loose.

update
So now, the experiment with not eating meat is going well. The challenge is after using all my recipes to find something new to cook and eat.
The 200 abs are very difficult. So i am starting over, doing only 100 a day. To see if i hate it less.

Challenge
I am so frustrated with my tummy... most of my overweight is there.
I decided for a week to do 200 abs a day on my balance ball. I think it will help. It is not drastic but helps starting a good habit.

Little experiment
I like experiments teaching me good habits.

Grocery shopping
I find it very hard to go grocery shopping. The donuts isle, candy bars and chocolate. The chips isle...very tempting. It takes a lot of will power to pass them and not grab something.
I always try to go to the store with a full stomach. If i am hungry, there is no way i will not grab something and start munching. Also, it is OK to get something reasonable and small to reward yourself, as long as you are not going to the store too often.

I slept in, so i had lunch...egg sandwich with grated pickle, tomato also in it...carrots and grapes...4 very small candy bars...Hawaii haystack for diner:

Green onions

Pineapple tidbits

Rice

Top ramen noodles
Gravy of choice
First goes the rice on your plate, then everything else with chopped veggies and small pieces of noodles.
The gravy is last. I made my own with the water from the warmed up shrimp, butter and the top ramen chicken stock envelope then flour to thicken.

How i feel...
I thought it would be harder to not eat meat. I don't have the desire to eat meat and actually notice that my appetite is not as strong. My stomach feels lighter all the time.
My problem area is my tummy and it looks like it is shrinking.

Today...1 banana..1 Donut (Yeah you can laugh at that one)... Lunch ...Spinach salad with Pistachio fruit salad ...diner... pasta with Frego Alfredo sauce...Left over salads...1 cream cheese and jelly sandwich.

Spinach
Sliced mushrooms
Grapes
Sliced strawberries
Mozzarella, cut in cubes.
Sunflower seeds.
Bacon bits.
Hard eggs, cut in pieces
I like very small amount of Ranch dressing for this salad. I know the Bacon bits are not vegetarian. Although the ingredients was not showing any bacon in it but bacon flavor? Hum...LOL.

Pedicure
Today i had the desire to give myself a pedicure and i remembered that 2 years ago it was frankly impossible. I had the memory of me trying to reach my feet and i could not. I was so sad. My feet were in bad shape and hurt. I stared at the spa bucket in frustration, my feet soaking in warm water.
Not anymore, i will have cute and manicured feet this summer.

Day 4
Today...2 chocolate pudding cups, 1 apple...tuna sandwich ...Potato soup with mix organic veggies in it...pineapple zucchini bread:
3 eggs
1c oil
2c sugar
2t. vanilla
2c grated zucchini
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
3 c flour
2t soda
1t salt
1/2t baking powder
1 1/2t ground nutmeg
1c chopped walnuts
With a mixer, beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and oil until thick and foamy.
Add the rest of ingredients in mixer on low.
Grease loaf pans then flour them.
Makes 2 5x9" loafs. Bake 350* for 45 minutes.

Two years ago



Some pictures at the hospital when i delivered my last baby. A big baby as you can see. 9 pounds 2 ounces. I did feed her a lot when she was inside. LOL.
Me and 60 extra pounds to love. I just realized looking for pictures, that i only have a few pictures of me with extra weight on. I have been avoiding the camera.
Weight
I weighed myself this morning....134.8 pounds.
So 3 weeks ago i was 140 pounds.
Diet twist really works, i just bounced back down.
My Perfect weight is 130.
Don't forget to weight yourself in the morning before the shower and after the potty break. Empty stomach, no water.

Day 3
Today...slept in, no breakfast. Lunch, left box of Sushi...one V8 can. Diner...Focaccia bread with spaghetti..tomato sauce.
Focaccia bread
2T olive oil, divided use
3 c flour
3/4 c semolina flour
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 t .dry yeast
1 1/2 c hot milk
1 T rosemary or Provence herb (anything fresh taste better and better for you)
I put everything in my bread maker on Dough selection . Oiled than floured a pan. Put dough on it. Flat it up. Leave under a Kitchen towel for 30 minutes then drizzle salt and rosemary. Bake for 20 minutes, oven 400 Degrees.

Here is my story
I have always been sportive. I was a professional dancer, swam like a mermaid. SUPER fit, perfect body, then it happened....baby number one! Gained 40 extra pounds, craved food constantly, ate too much. It took me a year to loose it. Then...baby number 2! Gained 40 pounds and it took me 3 years to loose it. Baby number 3. Gained 60 pounds! Eating burgers almost everyday and craving steak fries. So two years later, i am almost at my perfect weight, almost there.

2nd day
Today....no breakfast, i was too busy cleaning my kids messes and forgot. Lunch, peanut butter and jelly...fruit salad....diner...Taboule (couscous+tomato+green onions+celery+bit of dressing) and
pumpkin muffins:
4 cups sugar
5 c flour
1 c oil
1 lg can Pumpkin
4 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1 t clove
1 1/2 t. salt
Mix all in bowl, Bake 350 until browning top.
SO easy.

1rst day with no meat
What i had today....Oatmeal.....fish and broccoli....7 grains chips....7 layer dip and chips and California rolls (sushi)...one nectarine.
So far so good, got some cheese on the seven layer dip but thought being vegetarian is good enough, i will just reduce a lot the cheese. Yogurt is so good for you, i will keep it in the diet. fat free Milk too.
That is amazing how much veggies and fruits i can buy when the meat is out of the picture!

New diet
My husband had guys from the factory in Taiwan for Amber Alert GPS fly here. They were talking about this new diet book made in China.
They had a search about health and eating with millions of Chinese....the result...poor people live longer and have less health problems.
The cause...Meat. Poor people don't eat meat so live longer and have less health problems and ...are leaner?
I know that it takes 3 days for our body to digest meat, so not good if i am trying to loose weight and calories.
So here is my experiment. No meat for 30 days?
No cheese, no meat, no animal fat?
That is a hard one.
I can cook, thankfully, my Mother is a great French chef and passed it down.
Hum...I just had my last piece of cheese tonight.
Hubby had no meat today and says he fells good already.
We eat meat everyday...i would say.
I will keep you updated with the diet, tomorrow is grocery shopping.

2 months ago, i only had 2 pounds to loose to be at my pre-baby weight. Then i got really upset. REALLY upset. I had someone being very nasty to me.
I started eating donuts, everyday....ate way more than i should and i felt better but... i gained 8 pounds. Can't fit my jeans again. One year of good diet gone!
I faced my problem, told the person to go to hell and stay there. I am back on track. I am healing on the inside, body and mind.
I had to face my problem to heal and stop the unhealthy eating. The body and mind is beautifully one. They affect one another. Need one another to be balanced.
